Volunteering for New England Parenteral Drug Association

The New England chapter of the PDA has provided an excellent opportunity for local scientists and student scientists to network and see high quality technical presentations since 1988. It has also provided tens of thousands of dollars of scholarships to local students. They also have a great summer cruise every year in Boston Harbor, which I attended last year (the source of the photo below). They had a call out for volunteers, as their charter has two year term limits for officers to keep fresh faces and ideas coming. So I decided to step up to the plate and start volunteering, as at least a year is required before a run for office. My first stint as a volunteer was at the fall dinner meeting which featured two talks on CMO relationships which were excellent. Plus the food is always good and it was in my backyard in Marlborough to boot. A good time was had by all and it is always a great opportunity to see old friends and make new ones. Happy Thanksgiving!
